No. I gig electric and acoustic on a regular basis. Plus I like both. Plus I am an electric player of 55 years, who started playing acoustic in 1996. One can not take the place of the other.

I have to disagree with this. ^ That is the description of my job in our electric band. The rhythm guitar actually controls the dynamics and pace of the band. And if you're singing lead vocals too, you can weave the rhythm parts into that vocal part, and do some interesting little things with it. But I don't sing or play in church, so maybe there's less flexibility in that context. But to get back to the original subject: no, I could never do without my electric guitars.
