Default Prog Country?

Just hearing of the great Rusty Young's passing brought this tune to mind. Is there such a genre as "Prog County?" If so, here's the ultimate specimen:

Thanks for that one Marty! Nearly 10 minutes, no wonder they couldn’t get air play! Rusty has a beautiful steel break in the middle, and a nice banjo part, too.

This was kind of the last “original “ Poco album in the sense that the band was not the same without Richie’s writing—not better or worse, but different.

I can hear Sturgill Simpson paying tribute to this song on one of his records, so prog country is a thing and it lives on
