Default "One note samba" - Antonio Calros Jobim - fingerstyle solo guitar

Hi friends of fingerstyle guitar music,

back in the 80īs, after having heard Jobimīs song "Girl from Ipanema" I got in touch with his tune "One note Samba" and was
fascinated by this idea, to make a song with just one note - and having great chord changes for this single note....
So in the middle of the 80īs, I made my fingerstyle version of this tune - playing in the key of Bb - as to start with the first
chord = Dm.
It was fine for many many years. I also wanted to record my arrangement for many years. And while preapring this recording
the last days, I had the idea to shift my arrangement a semi-tone upwards, what helps the B-Section and I can use the open
low E- and A string, for getting a richer sound.

So here is my version of it - and I hope you like it...

greetings from Germany and all the best for 2020
Gerhard

I play that on keys - much easier! A nasty piece for guitar! Very well done!

Hi DC,
thanks a lot. In that time, I was not able to play piano/keys - so I had to look for a solution on the guitar. But also today, I am not good enough for playing it on the keys - so I am happy with my guitar version .... ;-)))

greetings from Germany - Gerhard
