Default TC Electronic 2240 Issue

Hello all,

I just bought (and received yesterday) a 2240 unit. I understand it's a discontinued product but I think I'm in need of a repair.

Channel 1 works fine and my K&K and Sunrise sound great through it - parametric EQ is fun fun fun.

Channel 2 unfortunately is broken. It exhibits no audio just a high pitched interference type sound when the outputs are connected to my PA. When the EQ Match knob is set to 0 the Overload indicator on the first band of EQ on Channel2. This EQ Match knob matches the EQed signal to the bypassed signal. When the gain and output is increased the interference type noise gets worse. I can hear a slight "switching" thump in my speakers when I engage/bypass the EQ section by flicking the switch.

I'm pretty sure something happened in transit. The seller is a studio and told the unit was in good condition. Perhaps a loose component or something.

Any techies in here that might suggest why this might happen? Also do TC Elec provide schematics for discontinued products?

Thanks,
JP
