Default Most Natural Sounding Acoustic Amp?

I'm looking at replacing my old Ibanez Acoustic Amp, and was curious as to which amp/amps have the most natural sound to them? I want to my acoustic to sound just like it does coming out of an amp as it does unplugged. Make sense? I would like to stay below $500 if at all possible (I hope this doesn't violate the $$$ rule).

As far as puckups, the only guitar I have with electronics is my Taylor 810ce with the Fishman barndoor. I should be receiving a Fishman Rare Earth Humbucker pickup in the next couple of days that I plan on trying out on my Collings. Also, I plan on purchasing a K&K Pure Western Mini to try as well.

I'm looking forward to everyones opinion....

I like my Marshall AS50D. 50 watts and two channels with separate controls. IMO, Very little EQ'ing required to get a natural sound.

+1 on the Marshall AS50D, but any of the above suggestions will have you coming out sounding like...well, like you should sound, only louder.

I think you'll get a bunch of ultrasound amps. I've been surfing this board for years, and amps come and go, but the ultrasound always stands true. Haha this is kinda funny, but I've NEVER heard an ultrasound amp. I would love to some day haha...as for my personal experience for the $$ the marshall is hard to beat. I've owned marshall as50, ac-60, a-ref, and the marshall wins the tone/price ratio. Although I was VERY impressed how natural the loudbox 100 sounded.

If you really mean that, you'll need a lot more money (2-3X budget) for the amp, a better pup, a good condenser mic, and a PADI box with dual-source blending and EQ.

Your stated goal is shared by most everyone around here, I reckon, but not easily attained. Like most things, getting 9/10ths of the way there is relatively easy, it's that last bit that makes for such an entertaining challenge...

Is using a microphone an option for you? That will be the most true to your acoustic...

Most Natural Sounding Acoustic Amp?

AER Compact 60... tough to find in your price range, though really a great amp.

What's the most natural sounding Acoustic amp?

A good small diaphragm condensor mic going through a nice PA system

It's not the destination; It's the car.

Crap in, crap out.

Almost any amplifier with a full range speaker can sound pleasing.

You'll just never get the sound of 'air' (acoustic, right?) coming out of a magnetic, bridge or soundboard pickup.

You could get the Fishman Aura system and have your guitar recorded by them. That, coupled with a good bridge transducer, succeeds pretty well at sounding like the source material: An acoustic guitar, and one that is very resistant to feedback at higher volumes.

Short of that it's a good microphone, a good small PA system and an audience that listens.

HE
