Default NGD: She's here... Dan Minard guitar.

My Dan Minard arrived on the lunchtime flight from Powell River, today:

So very exciting. This has been an exceptionally wonderful journey. More to come.

Quit teasing us....we want pictures! Shame on you! The case does look very nice, though.

Ha... there is virtually no light here, today, on this grey grey afternoon... she deserves better.

Wow, that back is just fantastic.

Not to be a nag but some shots with some views of the sides would be nice if you can put her down long enough...

I first started talking to Dan back in April 2013... I finally arrived at a wood choice and starting point last October. The build didn't need to take this long but it did for two reasons:
  1. I kept on saying, 'don't do the next bit until I can get up there to photograph it!'
  2. Dan managed to sever a tendon in his left (fretting) hand in a chisel accident (see build thread for details)

So, it's taken almost a year but the journey has been fantastic. I felt privileged to be able to watch this guitar take shape in the hands of a true craftsman.
