Default Steve Agnew 000 guitar

I recently had the honour of finally getting a guitar built for me by Steve Agnew .. he builds some of the finest instruments you can get your hands on .. He specializes in small bodied guitars and mine was a 000 with English Walnut back and sides and a beautiful European walnut top, rosewood bindings and fretboard

what an incredible guitar with such depth and range for such a small body

punchy base and crisp highs, perfect for finger picking

He was unsure of the walnut all round but it's a real gem, guitar for life

If you have never played one of his instruments then I highly recommend them, although they are tough to find ... a real craftsman

Beautiful!

Walnut as a top wood seems fairly uncommon, good to hear it sounds nice.

Gorgeous guitar. I've been wondering what a walnut topped guitar would sound like - anything like all mahogany?

Well Steve's guitars have so much depth and projection it's hard to compare .. I owned an all mahogany taylor 500 series a while back and if you compare this to that guitar, it has a lot more range and is just brighter and projects so much more (I actually sold the Taylor after a few months as I found it a little flat when played unplugged)

hard to post a sound file as there are no electrics on it and I don't have a great mic

I may buy one in the coming weeks so maybe then I will post one

I've owned MANY guitars over the years, some very expensive guitars (in the search for 'the one') and this is a dream and better than any of them .. and to wrap all that up into a 000 is just amazing ... he has a very long waiting list but there are a few of his instruments floating around in a few stores he supplies

If you are close enough .. well worth a visit to try one
