1944 Gibson J-45
Up for sale is a phenomenal 1944 Gibson J-45. As you probably know, the war years are generally regarded the best era for this model, and this guitar exemplifies that. Check out the video demo here:
https://youtu.be/D9evYkWarqA The sound is beautiful and “emotive” in the way only the best Gibsons can be. This guitar has a mahogany top, back, and sides. There is a small repaired side crack along with a few gouges here and there. Although the saddle is fairly low, the playability is excellent, and my luthier Chris Bozung confirmed that a neck reset is not necessary. There is a ton of finish checking, and the guitar seems to have been buffed and cleaned recently, but I have verified that the finish is original. The only touchup work (done by John Arnold) is in front of the current, appropriately-sized bridge, which is a replacement for the previous oversized one. Most of the banner decal on the headstock has been scratched off, but you can still its outline. A majority of the “Gibson” logo is still visible. The guitar also has a sharp-looking Brazilian rosewood fretboard. Just an awesome guitar all around. Asking $SOLD + shipping. Comes with TKL tweed hardshell case. No trades, please. That looks like a nice one...
Is that the same one that liketelivision sold recently, or is is common for the banner to fall off? -Mike |

I think they get deleted when they sell.
