Default My New Halcyon AJ (Now with soundclip) Finally Pics

Just received my new Halcyon AJ (Sitka/EIR, tapered bracing, from Bluedog Guitars), and all I can say is WOW! This thing is a monster! Absolutely kills anything that I have ever played, and I've owned guitars worth +/- $3k. I have been looking for a guitar of this caliber for quite some time now, and I need not look any further.

I certainly took a chance by buying this guitar without playing it, but it was well worth the risk. Recently, I have been playing guitars at local music stores in order to find "the" guitar for me. Some have cost 3 to 4 times what I paid for this natural beauty. In my opinion, those big $, big name guitars don't compare in the tone category.

Believe the hype! These Halcyons are great guitars! The Sitka/Rosewood AJ may have been my first, but it surely won't be my last!!

Thanks to all on here that have been raving about them...you know who you are. Thanks to Ed for making great guitars, and thanks to Paul/Bluedog Guitars for making this a pleasurable experience.

Here is a soundclip of a Pearl Jam Cover...Seattle is as close to Vancouver that I could come.

Pics that don't do this guitar any justice. Simple, yet elegant!

. I'm sure he'll be here soon. I enjoy Blaren's enthusiasm and I think he's nearly made me a convert.

lol...as I started to read the OP I literally had to do THREE doubletakes.
First thought...oh this is just a re-hashed old thread of mine? Nope
Did someone hijack my account or copy one of my posts? Nope
Third time was a charm.

Yup. Me too! STILL haven't played a guitar that touches my AJ. Well thee OOO touches it I suppose.

CONGRATS!!
