Smile Vintage guitar with 1 3/4 or bigger

I am looking for a vintage steel string acoustic preferably a Martin or Gibson but open to other makes!

Pretty much any Martin with 12 fret to the body neck (0-16NY, 00-21, D-18S, etc.).

There is a 1943 Gibson Banner LG-2 at Thunder Road guitars, if you can deal with the big neck. Why settle for a reproduction when you can have the original...

Gibson f-25. Full 2in nut. My favorite guitar.

I have Gibsons in the house built between 1920 and 1942. Every Gibson flattop guitar built before 1947 though will have a 1 3/4" nut, or Gibson being Gibson at least there thereabouts. You might want to remain mindful of the string spacing at the bridge. Once you hit around 1941 it can get awfully skimpy, as narrow as 2 1/8".

I just scored an immaculate 1970 Martin OO21. The nut is 1 & 7/8ths. I love the body size and wide neck as I primarily fingerpick.

Martin moved from 1 3/4" nuts in the late 30s, except for the 12-fret models, which are usually 1 7/8". They started bringing back the 1 3/4" in the early 2000 IIRC.

So if you are looking vintage, you'll pay a kingly sum for a 30's 14-fret or less for a (somewhat) newer 12-fret Martin.
