Me too...I prefer the contrast between light and dark. I put mammoth ivory pins in my Collings CJ:

Never really thought about it much Mick...some are black and some are white. I've never changed a set that came with the guitar?

Not a fan of bright white bridge pins...
I replace them with John Pearse faux tortoise shell pins.

Definitely no bright white for me, aged white is ok, but I like ebony pins best.

For me it does depend on the guitar. I have a mix of white and ebony bridge pins. I think they each match the guitar pretty well.
