I recall reading that a Wayne Henderson guitar is the best possible investment. And I think the same logic would apply to any well-regarded single luthier high end guitar; The quantities produced will always be limited, and with sufficient luthier fame, always in demand.
I also think a stock of quality Brazilian rosewood would only go up in value.

I'd have the assortment of guitars I currently have, which are by choice, not budget (and in reality, I'd probably have a few less). I'd take the balance and invest it or redistribute into travel.

These kind of polls are just ways to incriminate myself to my wife, but here goes:

1: Martin HD-35
2: Larrivee LV-05E
3: Taylor 458E-R
4: McKnight Custom (grand auditorium size but dread depth, torrified Adi top with some sort of rosewood back & sides)

I'd also love to take a luthier workshop and build another - mostly for the moral support and to be able to do it without making a ton of mistakes like I've been doing!

Maybe this isn't in the spirit of the question, but I would buy a good quality, but no-frills $1k guitar ... and use the remaining $49k to take time off work and buy lessons.
