Enjoyed that a lot. Fun piece and it sounds so relaxed.

Thanks guys. It's one of just two or three representational pieces I composed. Had fun putting it together.

Great playing and composition, Derek, really enjoyable! One question: what is representational music?

Thanks,
Larry

Larry, no doubt there is a better word for it but at the moment it escapes me. In this case where I wanted to musically represent a girl feeding chickens
The semi muted half strumming represent the chickens pecking, some other parts the corn being thrown out and the more lyrical parts the girl's feelings.
I have done some other representational tunes such as one about Captain Hook the his nemesis the crocodile.

Makes sense, thanks Derek.

That was recorded back in 2006. I believe the mikes were Gefell M300s, the preamp a Great River MP-2H, and for AD conversion a RME Fireface 800.
If interested in some newer sounds I have a number of things on youtube (minor audio quality loss on youtube versus original recordings).
