Yesterday saw the first coat of varnish go on the Adi/P L00. The second coat is on today, but these pics are yesterdays. There is no pore filler what so ever on this guitar, which is my norm with Pernambuco guitars.

Looks great Bruce. And your guardcat looks serious. My lapcat wouldn’t know what to think.

At 4 she continues to be an excellent huntress. A ground dweller specialist, birds are relatively safe.

Looks awesome Bruce. What do you use to thin your varnish with so it can be used with the spray gun?

I have a varnish schedule that includes this kind of information and if you email me I will send it to you. You do not actually need to thin the varnish to spray it, only if you want specific results.

Got the 4th coat on today. No runs, not hits, no errors . . . That I’ve seen.

It is definitely the nicest-looking Pernambuco that I can recall having seen.

The finish is all on, and now a month or so of curing must pass. I doubt you’ll perceive any visual change in photography, but I’ll make an effort anyway. First I’ll finish my breakfast.

I have started a new guitar, my first at the new price structure. Here are the Brazilian Rosewood back and sides, which I find to be very well matched in color and general character.

The latest OM-to-be has joined and templated plates, and the rosette is in the Carpathian spruce top, not to mention the first tier of bracing. I put the bracing in in three tiers because it gives me a three chances to adjust the bracing structure. Somebody I once had a relationship with called it "correctable results".

Beautiful wood for the back and sides. What is it?

Carpathian Spruce + Brazilian Rosewood (Bruce stated this in an earlier post)

I did a little editing to make what Bob said true. What are friends for?
