Default Colifot - DADGAD personal composition

Hi,

"Colifot". This waltz, technically rather easy, is a composition
recorded in "Répliques", Djal’s third CD and on my album "Just Sound" (Bandcamp, Spotify...)

While I composed this tune, my daughter Marie who was 4 would advise me - insistently - to try and play a little more "nicely"*. It helps soothe down…

* "Nicely" = "comme il faut" in french**
** "Comme il faut" = "Colifot" with the approximate pronunciation of a 4-year-old child

(Capo 2)

- Guitar : Lowden O23 Walnut / Cedar
- Capo : Quick Draw
- Mics : DPA 4099 + Zoom H4n
- Mix : Samplitude / TC Native Reverb

Tabs available on my Bandcamp ("Irish Fingerpicking Guitar Vol.2") : https://jeanbanwarth.bandcamp.com/merch
Take a look and share, your support is very useful to me 😁

I really enjoyed that, Jean - both the tune and the etymology of the title. Thanks so much for sharing.

Such a lovely tune. Always enjoy stumbling across a new tune of yours! Somehow had missed this one. Hope all is well

Thank you Dustin

I spent December 23rd and 24th in the hospital for a nasty infection but I’m home again and I’m better. I will try to play a little guitar this afternoon (after a week of forced shutdown, which seemed very long...)

I wish you a happy New Year’s Eve !

Jean
