Default Godin 5th Avenue tuning buttons

I'd like to replace just the tuning buttons on my 5th Ave. I can't be the only person who gets annoyed by them..🙄

They're small and tough to move & my strings winder slips off them .

Are they Gotoh tuners on these guitars? 🤔🤔

Not on either of mine, but they're both older models; FWIW if they're still using the Kluson-style tuners it shouldn't be hard to find a direct drop-in replacement that works better - or you could find a suitable replacement from the Godin parts catalog:

Thanks, all I want to do is swap the smaller buttons for something larger. The machines are fine.

I thought so, but if yours are the Kluson-style with the small nickel buttons (as mine are) IME that's going to be a near-impossible job, hence my suggestion of outright replacement; on the other hand, if yours are the newer Grover Rotomatic type StewMac carries a number of appropriate replacement buttons...

While, putting on Martin Monels, one tuning machine decided to die. At first it acted like a bushing was binding and then nothing. Knob & shaft turn, but internal gears won't function.

The guitar is at my local Luthier getting all new tuning machines installed.

That were the earlier style tuning machines. I've got Grovers on the guitar now.

The luthier said it was a simple process. Holes aligned almost perfectly. They're really nice, looks great and not too heavy on the neck.
