Default Acoustic pickup for a Violin?

Our Worship band at church has a Violin player. We have been miking her and are thinking of getting an inexpensive pickup instead. One of the members has suggested using a soundboard pickup, the kind you place directly on the top of the soundboard.
Is this a good option, and if so what brand would you suggest? Please feel free to offer alternate ideas if you have them.
Thanks alot.

I don't have any personal experience but I know that Pick Up The World makes a pickup that slips under the bridge (no drilling, cutting or gluing).
