Default Joshua Lee Turner - Only Living Boy In NY

This is excellent. Enjoy! (Filmed in Prospect Park. My family lived across the street from the Parade Grounds, when I was a little guy)

In 2010 my son was trying to make a go of it in the film business in NYC. We went up to visit him at Christmas just as a monster blizzard was coming in. After spending the evening together at a place he knew in Greenwich Village, he headed back to his apartment in East Village while we went to our hotel in the Bowery. I took this quick shot as he leaned into 40 mph winds blowing sleet and snow hard into our faces, and the streets were eerily empty for New York City that night. All I could think of was Paul Simon's line - that on that night my son was "the only living boy in New York"

That's a very cool story. I'll always have fond memories of the Village. My high school adventures down there have - for better, and/or worse - had a lasting impact on who I am, as an adult. My Canadian wife and kids will never understand this side of me.

So much in the Village as changed. "Gentrified". "Mainstream". So sad.

Great rendition of that tune Joshua!
I would like to think I left a little mojo in that underpass for you.
A very large portion of my young life was spent in Prospect Park.
At some point you should do a follow up in the colonade on Caton Ave and Park Circle.
The architecture is as beautiful as the walls are in the underpass.
