Thanks Tom! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I love the funky look.

Part of that is the ratio of note fundamental to overtone component shifts slightly (and how long the note fundamental hangs on before launching the partials) and part of it is the overall bass/mids/treble balance of the instrument. My MS model would have the most kick in the bass and lower midrange as you might expect ... and holds the fundamental a tad longer before the sparkle happens. The Remuda's bias is slightly more towards the upper registers and tends to have a bit more fireworks once the overtones launch. The Concert model was meant to cover a lot of the territory that larger guitars excel at, but with still good balance and some nice interest in the partials. Tough to put into words for sure.
David, I appreciate this. Tone speak is difficult, but this is as good a stab as any, and more thoughtful than most. Insights like this make better "listeners" out of all of us, and send us back to the sounds. I'll be listening even more critically now.
Oh, and that headstock is really nice!

Thanks Steve ... you know as well as I do ... it's tough putting it into words, that's for sure!

Another up vote for that end graft, that is awesome, but I can't believe that it was fun to do!! Something that fancy and intricate would certainly have some pucker factor to it surely!!

Hi Zandit ... thanks for the kind words! That end graft was fun to do ... after I figured out how to do it! I had a funny few minutes on the morning I'd set aside to start the binding and end graft ... after drawing up the design, emailing it to my client and getting his OK ... I couldn't get my head around how to actually accomplish the design! After a few minutes of staring at it, I realized that I had to put the back binding on first, then do the end graft, then put the top binding on. After that, it was fine. Not exactly rocket science, but it was enough to make me think!
