Here is my take on a Guy Clark’s Step Inside This House, as recorded by Lyle Lovett. Lyle really made this one famous, as Guy didn’t like the song apparently. But Lyle did, thankfully. Gibson J45 and quick iPhone recording. Please forgive the flubs. Roger

Hello Glenn, thanks for the feedback on my post, friend. Yes, Lyle has a wonderful style. It is deceptively laid back and relaxed, but absolutely dead on accurate in every regard. I enjoy listening to him. I’m glad you like my take on the tune.

Simply excellent! Your J45 and your voice were just perfect for this song. My best friend was nearby listening and commented that it was an excellent singer and song and wondered who was I listening too.
