It was pretty clear, at least here on the forum, that this line of instruments was a hit. Makes sense to expand it and include the breadth of factory options. Can't wait to hear how the dreadnoughts and jumbos compare.

We were warned a few days ago about the impending increase. The C-H series always seemed to be a loss leader / artificial bargain to draw folks into the carbon fiber world. But each model and company has to stand on its own in the long haul, so this isn't really a surprise. And as someone mentioned, the dramatically lower prices scavenged sales from the more expensive classic series. It's challenging enough to have serious competition, and doubly bad when that competition in the marketplace is YOU.

They may have been slightly profitable by keeping the line limited in scope, only three shapes and one neck. By expanding the options, they can't really pump the volume in the same way.

I think the process are still reasonable for what you get.

I checked Musician's Friend and they've got the new prices and there appears to be no cosmetic upgrades with the new price. Maybe no one else has noticed but my CH, unlike the CO & H guitars I've got, does not have a glued neck joint and only the fingerboard extension is glued. The H series is back to being the cheapest option. Maybe they were getting too many customer returns on the uni fiber tops and have to discard the more interesting looking ones.

It appears that Musicians Friend still has the Rainsong pure acoustic parlor (CH-PA1100NSG) with gig bag available at the "old" price of $1299...https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guit...52102000001000. I ordered one last week and received it yesterday. Very cool little guitar, and best of all it fits in the trunk of my Mazda MX5...

Looks like it now ships with an Access Stage 1 gig bag, a big step up from what mine came in! I imagine I was not the only one who emailed Dave at RainSong that there was a better option.

Yeh, that's what I got. I was slightly surprised because I thought the gig bag parlors were shipped in Boulder Alpine bags. What did yours come in, Jon????

Boulder Alpine. I bought the Access Stage 1 and sent a picture to Dave.
