Pickguard for my "OX"

There is a reason for my nickname "Braindead". If you can't tolerate my senility, don' read any further!
Although I really like the practical nature and sound of most CF guitars, I do not understand the popularity of the gray industrial look, especially the flat finish. Yuck.
I want to add a colorful modern styled pickguard to my incoming "OX" The modern styling of most CF guitars would clash with a traditional pickguard. Of course, I want a pickguard for the intended purpose of preserving a soundboard. I do not have a delicate touch and I have been told that I could break a cast iron football.
It is my intent to draw attention away from the mundane gray body. More color will be added later. Before you giggle, I will tell you that I am not an art director and my partner of 50 years is female. I do have a background in design and color going back to high school.
I have attached some examples of what I am considering. Your thoughts?

How about a white guard.... say white guard with Elmer Fudd voice of course.... oh wait, that's a deodorant.

Well, as a non pick using fingerpicker, I prefer no guard on my CF guitars. I guess I’m a little conservative, so for a grey guitar, I prefer the one on the left. I guess I’m no help really.

Btw, Emeralds can be really colorful!

Ah! Color! I think you should fly, go for it, don't be denied. The CF, black, weave, is a great pallet for color. You should probably go past guards and consider the whole instrument as a pallet.

If you can find it, take a look at the failed Voyage Instruments offerings. It was a French company, full of style. It saw Cf as a pallet awaiting some color.

Not a bad idea. After two minutes of intensive playing, I do need a deodorant.

Has anyone added a pickguard to their "OX"? If so, please post a photo. I am thinking about the shape.The material on the left is tooooo EXPENSIVE to cut and then not like it.

Ah, I like your attitude! I will research Voyage Instruments. Also, I gotta check out some wallpaper samples.

I like the dark look of the OX. In fact, I peeled off the logo and sound hole sticker. I thought about replacing the silver tuners to black, but I figured it was pretty stealthy the way it was. I don't really go in for flash in my guitars, but that's just me.

Also, I don't worry in the least about pick damage. It's a very tough material and I haven't left any pick marks on it yet.

The stained glass look might be interesting on a raw finish. Be sure to post pics of whatever you do

I have a black pickguard on my RainSong because guitars just don't look finished to me without one. The difference vs. the background is subtle, but I like it.

If you're looking for a less-subtle contrast, this place might have a few ideas for you.
