Default The Canalman and Judy - original.

Very often I struggle with titles but I got this from a memorial stone in canal outbuilding near my home and set myself the task of writing a piece of music that hopefully suits.

Phil, that was beautiful and very special! I love how you squeeze every bit of chordal complexity out of your arrangements! The resolve chord at :54-55 and elsewhere really hits my ear!
Fantastic job!

Wow, Phil!

That was lovely! A very sweet composition and beautifully performed! And what a great idea, composing a song based on an inscription on a memorial stone. Someone out there in the ether must be smiling at you! I certainly am! Well done!!

Thanks for your kind comment Glenn. I did a similar thing a few years ago with 'After Clouds, Sunshine'

Another warm and buttery melody played with your signature feather-lite touch Phil...I love that 3rd chord in the opening phrase.

Phil, I always thoroughly enjoy your arrangements, and this one is no exception. Your music is warm and comfortable, like sitting in front of the fireplace on a winter day. The landscape around where you live must be incredibly inspiring, from what you have shown us.

Also, I appreciate when you divulge the tuning for the pieces in your youtube comments.

This time around, I looked up the Brooks guitar site. I liked their comment that they are not on Facebook and other social media because they would rather spend their time building guitars.

Very pretty and heartfelt song, Phil. That guitar sounds incredible in your hands. I'd love to play that. Thank you for sharing with us.
