Default My bike ride this morning

Thought I'd bring you guys with me on my morning bike ride... photos are from my phone. Didn't bring along a better camera. I was riding this morning in a couple of the beautiful parks of coastal South Carolina where I've vacationed for decades. Simply gorgeous...

Great pictures Kerbie. Spring has arrived. Our trees are budding, but won’t leaf out for a couple of weeks.

That's bringing back good memories Kerbie. We've had several spectacular summer vacations in South Carolina. We've never been able to get there during the spring, however. Enjoy!

best,

Rick

Thanks, guys. It was a wonderful ride!

That lovely white bird is a Snowy Egret fishing for his breakfast... watched him catch several. Only gator I saw was an adult not too far from the pond in the last picture. They're moving around here, but it's still a little early to see very many.

Tomorrow will be quite rainy, so a great day for guitars.

Beautiful shots, Kerbie. Reminds me a fair bit of where we are in SW Florida. I was also going to say the bird is a Snowy Egret. We have a lot of those here too.

This must be the time of the year when some of the temperatures in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres are similar.

Beautiful sunny, cloudless day here.... nights are getting cooler.

Yeah, Bruce... it was close to the same here yesterday... 66* F or about 19* C. Perfect for biking.

Lovely photos Kerbie! Looks like a great area for biking! Weather looks perfect too.

BTW-I think you've got a Great Egret pictured there. Yellowish bill and lack of crest are best distinguishing field marks for Greats versus Snowys that appear in your photo. If feet are visible the Snowy's are bright yellow while the Great's are black. I don't see any hint of yellow in the shallow water where the feet are planted.
