Default The new Lost in Space (Netflix)

I liked the first episode and I was looking forward to the 2nd. So I'm watching it and this Dr. Smith character really ruined it for me. I'd rather see the series focus on the space travels and adventures than the lying and back stabbing scenarios caused by the antics of yet another Dr. Smith. So I turned it off, I'm done.

Yeah, but lying and cheating are cheap to portray. Remember, Star Trek was supposed to be a "wagon train to the stars," ie. a horse opera with the horses replaced by rockets. The key is that opera is cheap.

I liked it, just finished the first season. Thought it was pretty well done, especially the robot. Look forward to season 2.

Let's say I'm a fan of Maureen.

I loved this show as a kid and saw a teaser - I thought it was an upcoming movie. I didnt realize it was a series

Didn’t realize there was a remake of the series

Overall, I enjoyed the series with a few reservations. There are some jarring moments where they just gloss right over things like physics and science. For a lot of scifi or fantasy films, I'm ok with suspending my disbelief, but when they try to portray a near future scenario in our reality, they should take a little bit more care to make things believable.

enjoying it s far... excellent production values! A few things have seemed a bit flakey but for some reason, the one that seem to have bothered me most is when the mother berates the father for attempting to use the 3D printer to make a gun.

"You know how I feel about having guns around!" she yells. .. holy cow lady! You're stranded, alone as far as you know, on an alien planet teeming with alien life forms! Is it not appropriate to set aside your suburban soccer mom sensibilities in circumstances such as those?

Pretty much my sentiments. And the corniness and bad acting. No thanks, too many time wasters on Netflix alone for me to waste time in what seems a very silly remake.

I watched the first few episodes. I think it's ok, but nothing great.

I watched the first episode and I enjoyed it. I liked that they started with some space/crash scenes and flashed back to how they got there rather than show it all chronologically.

Let's see how episode 2 goes.

I just started a couple days ago. I was pretty bored through most of the first episode. Still undecided about continuing.

All is not lost. I finally got around to figuring out how to use my TV's remote to fast forward on Netflix (new TV). Now I just skip over the scenes with Smith in them. She (the character) is a real loser.

I liked the show. Definitely some corniness and I wish there was less people drama, but overall I liked it and am looking forward to season 2.
