Awesome SG, Dru! I love my SG Standard, I can tell you that!

My 2013 has the 57's as well - fantastic pickups for SG's.

Congrats Dru. I have large pickguard, small pickguard, and no pickguard SG's and love them all.

What a beauty!

I find the 57's in my SG sound better than in my '99 Les Paul. I should say that they handle moderate/heavy gain better. Think I'm going to try to raise the Les Paul's pickups a hair to see how that changes things.

Yeah, the 57's sound awesome in this SG.

I've got 57's in my 335 also, and they sound great in that guitar as well.

I've read a lot about pickups on forums over the years and the '57 classics appear to be what most people find are the best Gibson pickups. I'm surprised at how well my SG handles gain with those pickups through my Traynor amp (i.e. Iron Maiden), given that they're Alnico II magnets.

Update: I've had this guitar 3 months now and it still rocks. So comfortable and easy to play and just great tone.

Thinking it won't be my last SG.
