If your guitars are sitting on the floor and you have them in guitar stands. I would more likely suspect a mouse is crawling into the soundhole where he has built a nest. If she hears either a Low E or a High E that would be the hint that it's a mouse.

The simplest answer is usually the correct one.

You need to get a 12-string and she'll report mournful spirit-wailing that it's not quite in tune.
