That is funny, I guess I wasn’t really thinking that folks who handle custom service with reverb would necessarily be knowledgeable about various musical instruments but mainly it didn’t seem to me that they would do anything more than a cursory exam of the ad and any paper trail btwn parties. I certainly could be wrong. It would not be the first time.

All he shared with us is that it's "not to his liking." That alone is not enough to warrant a refund.

There is not nearly enough information being shared in this thread to daw any meaningful conclusions about this particular guitar or this particular Reverb transaction, let alone Reverb transactions in general.
Unless the ad stated "very little saddle and truss rod cannot be adjusted" the guitar was not as described.

Sellers must assign a condition on Reverb. If the guitar was identified as "mint" or "excellent," that description goes beyond the aesthetics. If it requires a neck reset, I would not consider that either of those conditions.

#1 Rule when buying site unseen, ask a lot of questions and ask for detailed photos, now you have it documented in text and photos.

And if they become upset with this process walk away!

#2 Always follow rule #1

That guitar would need a neck set now.
Lesson: ask for pictures of the saddle height (more importantly overall string height above the soundboard) as well as current action height.
Yep, you’re right, must have been too late at night when I wrote my reply.
