+1. I have the Simon & Patrick 12 string, very nice guitar I picked up used for under $200 CAD.

I don't buy 6 strings on line let alone a 12. But Takamine I own and could not be happier.
I also have the Takamine GJ72 CE-12.
It’s so good that I traded off an incredibly good Taylor 150e for it.
I couldn’t be happier.

Well, I’d be happier if I had a dedicated person to change my strings...

+1 - IME the only real option in this price range these days if you're buying new; if you're OK with used look for a Guild GAD JF30-12 or F-1512 jumbo, or Westerly Series D-1212 all-hog dread - the latter in particular punches way above its weight, and there are more than a few very satisfied owners here on the AGF...

Indeed it is. A Galaxy note 9 to be exact

for the money you pay -answer pretty much any larrivee 12 string,
saw a l series for about 600 used- ( thou no longer available )
but i have seen others like it for about the same price -
I sold my D-03R-12 a couple months ago for $500.
(it had a top repair from about 1999, but it was essentially invisible)
Only real reason I sold it was because it was a Dreadnought.

12-string value drops like a rock on the used market.

^^ This. You can get some great used deals out there, as many folks buy a 12-er for a few songs, then it ends up not being played much. I had a Seagull S-12 (cedar top) for a long time, and only "moved up" when I discovered my Taylor 354-LTD and its superb playability.

I bought one of those a while back, and it's a decent guitar. The neck is beefy but comfortable, the action is a little high, and the intonation is surprisingly very close. It actually sounds pretty good! I like it better than my Art & Lutherie 12 string. Just check the neck around the nut area for fracture cracks because it is not very well protected in the shipping carton.

Eko makes a reissue 12 strong with an adjustable bridge and bolt on neck. Action can be dialed in and the built in pickup system is fine. Cheap and plays well and will never need a neck reset- just shim the neck if need be !

I had a Yamaha APX-9 that i bought 20 years ago. It went bad and Yamaha replaced it with a APX-700. Really nice playability, great electronics and a lifetime warranty.

Picked up a used Seagull 12-string from a pawn shop a couple of years ago for $200 - never regretted it. Sounds great!

What EVER guitar you get, save some money and get a really good tuner ! I like the TC Electronics PolyTune or the iStrobosoft tuner on my phone. Nothing so off than a 12 string ALMOST in tune. Get those pairs of strings really in tune and nothing sounds as good. ( If you're into the 12 string sound. )

Note: They now have a UniTune tuner from TC electronic. Half the price, but I haven't tried one. Most people probably just tune one string at a time, to the "poly" part might be over kill. If it's as accurate as the polytune, the unitune might be a great buy.
