Default Who made the first nylon "crossover" guitar?

Anyone know the genesis of the nylon string crossover guitar? Anyone even know a widely recognized definition? Perhaps a definition we could agree upon?

There are many places where the term "crossover" appears in music and guitar literature, so to avoid endless squabbling and nit-picking, I'll clarify:

I am curious about the genesis of the modern shallow-body, cutaway, radiused fretboard, appx. 1 3/4" nut, nylon string acoustic guitar which may or may not incorporate a pickup system that we see gaining popularity right now.

Anyone know who designed or built the guitar widely recognized as the first one?

Good question.I'd hazard a guess it happened in the '80s(or even '70s? ? ?) and might be a little hard to research simply 'cos it's from a time before online existed.
