Default Finally taking the Eastman plunge...

Today I put an E10DSB (sunburst) on layaway at my local shop. This particular guitar has great tone and was set up perfectly. I was really quite surprised at how good it was. I knew I needed to put it on layaway before someone else grabbed it. There were several other variations of Eastman in stock and this one just spoke to me. It'll be my gift to myself for Christmas. I plan to install a good pickup then use it for playing out.

This is a stock image. Will post more when I have it in my hands in a month or so.E10D_SB.jpg

Nice! I'm considering a E10ooSS or E1SS for xmas myself. I really like my E20OM-TC and play it the most out of all my guitars.

Good looking guitar. Eastman is a great value for the money.
I have an Eastman AR610CE-SB Hollow Body Archtop jazz box and the workmanship and materials are top notch. The ony draw back was that the tuners were not up to my standards but that was an easy fix with a set of Gold 510 Gotohs.

Enjoy,

Blues

Good for you! I’ve not had a chance to play an Eastman yet. But they get a lotta love around here. Looks like you got a beauty.

Congrats! Love my Eastmans and would consider more if I could. They're great guitars and not just for the money.

Congratulations, it looks like it will be a beauty!

Like Roy, Eastman's are very rare in my area, which is the NY metro area. Eastman should start getting more guitars over this way. I bet they'd sell a few!

The reason I'm even here (migrating from the electrified side of the fence)
Is because I just purchased Two (used) Eastmans, haha!
An HE-222CE and a sweet E20-OO-SS.
I ran the racks at my local store recently who happens to be an Eastman dealer.
Never played one before...until about two weeks ago now.
Was just stunned.
They nearly slayed everything else in the room.
So I went home and shopped Reverb for used.
There is 'something' about them that gives me ultimate confidence in buying them unseen/unplayed.
I normally would tell people to Never buy a guitar unplayed.
Both inbound this week.
Congrats!

Congrats, BoneDigger! And welcome to the Eastman club. Three years ago, I was very close to purchasing a custom shop D-28 with Adi top, when I played my first Eastman guitars. Totally different voices, but that's all it took. I ordered an E40D, and since then, I've spent the last three years spinning off my other guitars and replacing them with various Eastman models. They're making some wonderful instruments, and I hope your E10D-SB continues to exceed your expectations, when it comes home.

I’ve had an Eastman mandolin for several years. If there weren’t a rule in my house about numbers of guitars, I’d have an Eastman guitar, too. I want a small, all mahogany guitar.

Default My Eastman Coral

E40OM, E10OM-TC, AH6OME, E10D-TC and the latest E10SS. Sold Martin 000-18 & GPRS1, Taylor 414ce, 514ce, 514e FLTD, GS Mini and Gibson J35. I guess I like Eastman guitars.

PS - Though not nearly as impressive as the NoCal Eastman Concept store.

All I hear about is Eastman these days...I have never seen one before in person. I will have to seek one out to see what they are all about...They sound like they are incredible value for money.

Richard’s Guitars is big into them. He does videos all the time on them on his Youtube channel. I get a kick out of that guy. He is loving the Eastman!

Slightly off topic. I played a bunch of ukes in a shop that happened to have a good selection and the best one for me was the Eastman. One of the cheaper ones too.

Default eastman parlor/red spruce and hog B&S

I got one about 3 weeks ago, an E10P from Reverb. It was a 2018 NOS guitar that never sold, likely because the nut slots were painfully high, high like I have never seen on a guitar before. I know to wait a bit and let the guitar acclimate to my climate, but I have a nice set of japanese nut files to get it right. I suspect I will not be happy with the cheap tuners and will upgrade to grovers, but rest of guitar look very nice.

I hear so much talk about the Eastman's quality but have never really played them as there are no music stores near me that carry them. So I drank the chinese kool aid and am looking forward to this one.
