Default Something New Coming from Fender

https://www.fender.com/pages/2019-teaser-bonus
I got this this morning. Anybody know what they are up to?
I caught a glimpse of a five bolt neck attachment on a curved neck heel shape but I don’t think that is new. They have used that shape on their upper priced guitars in the past.
They are releasing the news on 11/5/19. I can’t wait to see!

I am developing GAS for a Player series with a Floyd Rose.

Now I am going to wait and see - the plate certainly looks new.

I played a Fender Player Series strat yesterday in Cheektowaga. GC. My word, that guitar is something special. Loaded with power and just a great neck. Very impressive guitar.

Default Wonder if this is a replacement for the recently discontinued Elites?

The neck curve on the American Elites is not as pronounced as in that pic. Looks like there will be easier access to the high frets with the new curve.

Wonder if this is a replacement for the recently discontinued Elites?

And, of course, the 5-bolt will naturally sound better than all those crummy 4-bolts they built before.

And the three-bolts? They never existed. Seriously. You were imagining them.

I am betting (no inside info at all) on a Bigsby strat.....Fender bought Bigsby earlier this year. They had their own tremolo system and offered a floyd rose option....I am betting there is a strat with a bigsby now, which is very attractive.

And I’m thinking of a 24 fret strat with coil split humbuckers in positions one and three with a single coil in the middle. That five bolt neck is throwing me off though. Tom Anderson Guitars uses only two bolts on their strat, tele and jazzmaster clones to unbelievable results. I guess we just have to wait a little longer to see what the reason is.

LOL. You are correct, more bolts = bigger tone!

Looks more like an Ibanez from the bolt on perspective. I wonder if Fender is trying to attract some shredders with this guitar?

Yes each bolt is designed to resonate a sympathetic hamonic on each note of a pentatonic scale

Seriously though having a neck block carve for more access to the upper frets is one of his big selling points on the Johnny Highland signature T style guitar from Keisle . Probably my next electric

Surely Leo is thinking there's got to be some cosmic force that would alter time, space and antimatter to squelch that blasphemy...

There’s nothing novel about this - Ernie Ball, for example, has been using a very similar 5-bolt attachment on their Music Man guitars for quite a while.

It will be amusing to see what Fender claims about it, though - guitar makers’ advertising copy can be more than a little hyperbolic.

With 4-bolt necks on the guitars, and 5-bolt on the basses, according to pictures at Sweetwater (at least, the ones I looked at):
