If you have another experiment in you, put a set os Santa Cruz low or mid tensions on it. You might be pleasantly surprised.
I'm always up for experimenting. I checked out the Santa Cruz site and these definitely caught my eye. I ordered a few sets of the lights - eager to try them out. I know they don't provided gauges but I assume the lights would be equivalent to a 12-53 set? Thanks for the suggestion!

Lovely playing and a very nice piece of music.

I've put John Pearse PB lights on just about every guitar I've owned and they always sound great.

Thanks for posting the demo!

I find JP strings work very well on Collings guitars. But as others have said, I don’t find they last as long as I would like. I’ve also had corroded/pitted unwound strings included in the packaging from time to time. Their Customer Service is outstanding and they are eager to replace corroded strings. I have migrated to D’Addario EXP strings on my Collings over the years. I find the EXP tone & feel is nice and they seem to last much longer. I do still use JP strings some of the time for some of my guitars. They are nice strings.
