Scott, you rascal, this is impossible to answer! I've often asked myself this same question and I keep getting the same answer - ??????????????????
I even have the same trouble picking the best album! However, ask me which is my favorite McCartney song and I'd easily say "Band On The Run." |

I'd have to choose *Here, There & Everywhere* . Just something about that song that always had me.

I know I am in the super minority here and everywhere, but I don't really like the Beatles, never have. I like many other bands from that era, but not the Beatles.

Funny, one of my best buddies feels the same way. He prefers both the Stones and The Who to the Fabs. Are you back from your trip yet, Keith? memmer |

SLIGHT CHANGE: Choose TWO (2) songs, one early, one late
EDITED: Okay, I've decided to change this just slightly. If you want, I'm gonna allow people to choose TWO (2) songs, if you prefer. Why? Because it's my thread and I can't decide.
Okay, so one early song, up to Revolver (but not including Revolver), and, if you like, one late song, which will start from the first notes of "Taxman," will include the entire Revolver album, and everything that followed till their breakup. Here are Mine: Early: "She Loves You." PERFECT pop song, made perfect when George Martin moved the chorus to the beginning of the song. Late: "The Long & Winding Road." I'm sure I'm wrong, but this always felt like a farewell song from Paul to John. The stripped-down version on the Anthology album is so simple and stunning. |

Yes Wade, even "Helter Skelter". And Sherman, way-back, I was a bigger Stones fan at that time. Don

Almost impossible to narrow down to one. Ballads, Psychadelica, Rock, Introspection......... since it could change daily - today it’s Something. The soul-grabbing simplicity and the way it makes me feel almost voyeristic listening to George quietly writing about ... her, Pattie.

Day in the Life is iconic end to an iconic album. For my second i will cheat and say the medley at the end of Abby Road.

Impossible task, really, but I think my favourite overall is You Never Give Me Your Money.
I think it just has the edge for me because it has probably my favourite line as well: "Oh that magic feeling, nowhere to go". Definitely words I like to live by. |

Picking a favorite just doesn’t work for me, way too many favorites. However I can pick a favorite to play and that’s In My Life. Just a song that I can relate to personally.... and that’s not necessarily true of many of my other Beatles favorites😉
Did someone mention the Stones? My favorite right now is Can’t You Hear Me Knocking.... just because it’s one of the most fun things I’ve ever played on guitar😁 Jeff |

To the last two posters.... yes, yes, yes. The medley on the back side of Abbey Road is just stunning.
I used to play this game in my head where I had to come up with a single-word adjective for each Beatles album. The word I kept coming back to for Abbey Road was "mature." It's just the materity of all their arts culminating, and so joyful to see George come fully into his own as a songwriter. sm |

Early: If I Fell
Late: Here There and Everywhere But this is too hard. Waaaaay too many amazing songs. Should do a top 10 thread. |
