Default Synergy Carbon / Ekoa sale

Just a heads up, Synergy Instruments is having a 15% off sale until the end of
the day, Monday. Dec. 7
I just ordered a Carbon fiber body Ekoa top tenor ukulele. Between the sale and the exchange rate with US/Can dollar, I was able to pick this up for less than $600. I have never seen or played one. So it's a bit of a gamble. They do have some youtube videos that sound nice. I guess I'll post a review when I get it.
They also have a travel and electric guitar.

I8;

Thanks for the heads up. Synergy seems to be an innovative maker with a nice line of initial products. I am particularly interested in the use of ekoa and wonder how it is mixed with the carbon fiber face--the picture of the ekoa/carbon guitar face looks like CF and I'm wondering if it is a double faced instrument?

If anyone has any questions on the Synergy guitars and ukuleles, I would encourage contacting them through their web site. I've contacted them several times and they've been quick to respond each time.
Also, you might want to look at their Facebook page. They have some things not on the website yet. I saw their burst finish and asked if they could do it for my order. They said yes at no additional charge.

Being made in Canada, they've got to be good! I'll definitely consider a Synergy when they release full-size acoustic and acoustic-electric models. Currently, their biggest guitar is the Slim Body which sounds great for Gypsy Jazz but for me sounds too boxy for string band and Bluegrass. Here is the Slim Body doing a Django kinda thing:

Thanks for the info.

Ordered a carbon/ekoa baritone uke.

I've been interested for a while and hope they get enough sales to encourage expanding the guitar line-up.

Their main business of making carbon fibre welding helmets and construction hard hats gives them a head start in carbon fibre expertise and startup costs.

Synergy Instruments makes these combinations:

1. All carbon fibre fused multi layers

2. All carbon fibre layers except eKoa cosmetic outer layer on the sound board

3. All flax fibre using Biotex inner layer(s) and an eKoa cosmetic outer layer

The website offers options 1 and 2 but not option 3.

Comments on the ukulele forum indicates that they find the tone of all flax to to be very lush maybe too lush. The all flax process also requires more labour.

Cheers.

The all Flax fiber tenor ukulele is available to order. It's not on the website yet, but I was told I could order one if I wanted. Also, it's available with a burst finish if requested.
