tends to by Gypsy Jazz. Sven Jungbeck, Joscho Stephan, Frank Vignola, Bireli, Angelo Debarre. All great players besides listening to the likes of Django, the obvious. Love that style of music.

Jolly Rogers 'The Devil's Reach'. These guys write lots of acoustic songs about pirates, ships, the ocean, ect. This one is about a pirate ship operating in the Cape Cod / Boston area. Great lyrics and melody.
For some reason the embedded url doesn't work in the YouTube tags but this url works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkXnLatevJU |

I've come across a large number of YouTube videos which present the isolated guitar tracks from famous recordings. They've forced me to realize that I never understood anything about how to play guitar. I thought I was so great when, in fact, I was a total hack.

Bill Frisell, “Guitar in the Space Age”. Frisell is not a wanker or a shredder. Is a masterful jazz musician who plays melodically and with expressiveness. Loved his, “Good Dog, Happy Man”, which is much more slanted to Americana (but still inimitably Frisell); this is an album I’d recommend to anyone. “Guitar in the Space Age” will appeal to many because of he is interpreting early rock songs...but these songs reflect more of the jazz sensibilities.
Just a delightful collection to listen to. If you havent heard much of Frisell’s work, give it a try, or look for some of his YouTubes. |

I fall into the Larkin Poe YT rabbit hole a couple times a week and don't come up for air for an hour.
I love their guitars, their harmonies, and the songs they choose. And what I like the most is that they are completely unpretentious and have fun with their music. So very talented!
