Thumbs up Journey OF660

Bought a Journey OF660 two weeks ago and have been playing it daily since. Does it play as easily and sound as good as my custom shop Breedlove - no, but then I didn't expect it would. However, it's very playable and sounds far better/richer/deeper than I expected. Best of all, I now have a guitar that fits in the trunk of my Z4.

Highly recommended!

I love mine.
It’s gone a lot of places in the time I’ve owned it.
Mostly I. The trunk of my MKZ.
Summer, Fall, Winter.
It doesn’t care. It’s by my favorite chair in the living room most of the time as well.
I love it.

Bourse in Summer Fall Winter.

Mine takes up summer residence in the cabin of my sailboat, in a harbor on Lake Michigan. Winters are spent at home.

PSA: Journey is taking pre-order deposits for a run of lefty OF660 models.
They need to get 20 pre-orders before they'll make them.
If you've been wanting a lefty carbon Journey now is your chance.

Thumbs up jouney guitars

Love mine and it goes with me everywhere. When at home, it sits on my couch and my toddler decorates it with stickers of rainbows and zoo animals. Lots of character! ;-)

The sound is much more quiet. But tonewise, excellent. Sustain, clarity, separation, depth, all very good.

I have to agree with your characterization of the sound, very well put, not loud but clean and pure. I snagged one used, last week, very pleased. The removable neck joint is an outstanding design, very solid.

Yea - I think for many, my wife and I at least, the first time to hear the guitar, the impression is... How Strange! The guitar does not does not sound the same as others when you are playing. Maybe because of the soundhole placement. I get the same feeling with my Ryan... it's just different. But after some time and quiet listening, it becomes eye opening. First listen may be strange.

Bought an OF660 off Reverb a week or so ago. Seems to be going well so far. It does seems structurally sound and I appreciate the truss rod. The tone is different, but I've grown to like it. I could live with a little more narrow fretboard, but it's all good.

Default OF660 as a motorcycle guitar!

The OF660 fits in the rear trunk box on my BMW R1200RT moto. On other bikes, it fits in a large waterproof duffle.

Another ADV inmate! Battle Scooters here. That's quite a commitment, giving up that trunk space for the guitar. I have carried my Emerald X7 in the gig bag with backpack straps on my scoot.

I used to strap a full sized dreadnought across the back seat of my Gold Wing, using the passenger grab handles as tie down points. Of course, she had her own Wing and we were not trying to ride two-up. (I got the guitar and she carried most of the camping gear). But a Journey would be cool for that too.
