*sold* Bashkin SJ
It really is with a degree of sadness, that I offer my 2019 Bashkin SJ for sale. I have a new custom build in the pipeline, so unfortunately the decks need to be cleared in readiness.
It’s made from some sublime Honduran Mahogany & Swiss Moon Spruce, has a 26-25.4 multiscale/fan fret design, an arm comfort bevel, and a cutaway. It plays absolutely beautifully, and recently had a service/setup with top luthier, Tom Sands. Aesthetically, it really is a stunning example of Michael’s work. From the overall shape and balance, the buffalo horn fret markers (which are absolutely stunning when they catch the light), to the exquisite inlay work on the rosette, headstock and end graft. I will be very sorry indeed to see it go. There are a few videos on YouTube and ‘The North American Guitar’ websites from when it was new, and it’s opened up beautifully in the past year or so. Overview with a couple of Stuart Ryan demos - https://youtu.be/-NRRqv-IgMs Will McNicol demos - https://youtu.be/Kv9VxnnIQEg & https://youtu.be/yJ68dTfmHsU Tony McManus demo - https://youtu.be/l5t2PrKRWNw I'm based in the UK, but happy to ship globally. Please shout if you’ve any questions at all. Thanks! David From the original listing at ‘The North American Guitar’: — This stunning Bashkin features a Swiss Moon Spruce top on Honduran Mahogany back and sides, with a Honduran Mahogany neck topped by an Ebony fingerboard with Ebony binding. This model also features Michael Bashkin's renowned fan fret design, extending the scale on the bass side. "The SJ has a big low end with a crisp attack and the warm trebles of a Swiss Spruce top. This guitar is ideal for open tunings..." Sweet looking Bashkin, too bad you're on the other side of the pond. Best of luck on your sale.

Thanks Jay, it really is a stunner. I recently sold/sent a Lowden to Hong Kong with no issues at all, so very happy to consider international shipping!

This really seems like a great guitar for someone wanting to get into a guitar with fan fret design. If only I didn't have a similarly configured Collings SJ but without the fan fret.
