Good point. Had not thought of that

I have a set of formal button braces with my suit that only comes out for funerals. Otherwise?

I'll admit to being born into a bloodline that has no butt. I have been known to bruise myself while sitting down onto a wooden chair. I no longer have a gut. After considered weight loss I am reasonably close to my weight when I left college and I wear the same pants size. Still, pants that fit... I can walk out of a pair on my way up a set of stairs if I don't watch out. My solution is to cinch my belt a notch tighter when I stand. But my wife brought up this topic only one day ago.

By the way, that suit mentioned above? It's at least two sizes too big at this point.

I went through a suspender phase years ago, but it didn't last. I'm blessed with the physical attributes necessary to hold my pants up. While I'm not a cowboy type, I do wear a wide leather belt with a big southwestern style silver buckle.

Haven't worn them since my mother stopped dressing me at age 3. They look good on Santa Claus and Spencer Tracy; anyone else not so much.

Not sure how this happened.
Tightening of belt is not much help.
Gravity sucks! Yes, I wear suspenders ... and a belt. I use Jerry's, that hook to the belt. Usually under an untucked shirt, but sometimes over the shirt if I'm with the country band at a casual gig. The last thing I need is a wardrobe malfunction on stage!

For my ski pants, my working in the yard pants, and the dress suit pants.

I used to. I'd put on my t-shirt, my pants with suspenders, and then a button-up shirt over the t-shirt and suspenders. It kept me from having to hike my pants up all the time. I then bought a real belt from a local guy who does amazing leatherwork, and I've not worn suspenders since. I don't have to hike up my pants anymore either.

In 1981 my blue jeans were 32/32. They still are in 2020. Blue jeans and belt for me.

Tim won me over with them yet he didn't actually wear the suspenders.

I like the look of a man wearing suspenders, vest, long sleeve shirt with the cuff folded up a time or two.

It's a clean classy look when in a relaxed dress setting. It shows that he attempted to get dressed for his wife's shop Christmas party but he kind of rolled his eyes when I suggested this look could happen more often. He did it but no suspenders. Just not his comfort level. I had assumed he hid them under the vest. Sometimes imagination is a good thing and it is best to not know what you don't really need to know.

I was raised thinking all grandpa's wore suspenders and suits and could play musical instruments.
