Default MXR EVH 5150 Over Drive pedal....

On a different forum, somebody mentioned they tried one of these pedals with a VOX amp and it sounded great. So I looked it up and heard a few demo's of it and it definitely has that EVH sound to it. So I ordered one, should be in Thursday night.

Seems like a great pedal. Just looked it up and there are so many positive reviews.

Are you looking for a specific type of gain; i.e. OD or mild distortion or heavy distortion?

I’m looking for a signature sound, EVH type sound . I have many distortion pedals that give me lots of options but I want a specific sound, which this pedal offers.

Makes sense. I didn't want to assume you were looking for that tone but figured. Looking forward to your review.

Sounds like it's a keeper, MM!

Do you have a pedal board to put both 5150s on?

I have one of these pedals and it's one of my favorite overdrives ever. Really awesome. Congrats on picking one up!
