Default oops, I did it again

Brittany Spears aside......

oops I did it again

I was looking for another loaded Taylor pickguard for my two solidbody guitars.

A guy just posted a mint NOS guitar and *FOUR* brand new (all different) loaded pickguards, including the one I want.

I called him and we worked out a deal and I bought it - fastest guitar purchase I ever made.

IMA have one too many guitars again soon.....but those pickguards are gold to me..

That's great, Fazool. I recall when you bought a Taylor solid body from the UK or Europe a couple years back (do I have that right?).

Is it a local pickup?

This one was craigslist but the seller put it up on Reverb for me and its out for delivery now

Why did you ask to change to Reverb? Is it because of secure payment?

Default I struck gold

For a lover of Taylor solidbody electrics, the loaded pickguards are very hard to come by.

I just got these.

Oh and it was part of a package deal with a New Old tock brand new SB1 (but I am selling that off since I was only after the pickguards)

That's what I do if a remote buyer wants to buy my local craigslist item. After making the deal, I post it on Reverb at a prearranged moment, and the buyer buys. I get my price and Reverb's protections and shipping, buyer pays Reverb's fee and his sales tax. Sometimes we split Reverb's fee.

Makes a lot of sense, Chris. Reverb has some great built in assurances.
