Default Retirement guitar #3 - beautiful 1995 Taylor 512 (SALE PENDING)

Gorgeous 1995 Taylor 512. Engelmann spruce top with awesome skunk stripes, mahogany back and sides, 1 and 3/4 nut width with awesome sleek fast neck profile, no electronics, plays great, sounds great, needs nothing. Original Taylor hardshell case.

I purchased this guitar years ago from the original owner who had accidentally dropped the case lid on the treble side of the guitar when getting it out of the case causing a small crack. It was repaired such that I cannot find the area in question unless I look inside the guitar and see the single cleat. Years ago I had sold the guitar and it suffered some minor endpin damage, presumably from having the box dropped on it's end in shipment and the buyer returned the guitar to me. I had it professionally repaired, and again, if I didn't mention this you would never know from the inside or outside.

These 90's Taylors are indeed special and here's a chance to get an excellent one for less than the cost of a new one.

PM me for more info or pics. I am in North Carolina.

Not interested in trades, thank you.

It is indeed. I have another 90's Taylor or I would not be letting this one go. Someone will really enjoy this beautiful instrument.

If this is helpful to anyone on the fence about the guitar, I played (and still own) a 1995 Taylor 512 on all the tracks of my album, Old Waves.

Here is a Youtube video of one of the songs:

Hope that helps as a sound sample.

Not only do these 90's 512 Taylors sound great and play great, they record amazingly well.
To me, these 90s Taylors are good candidates for "lifetime guitars." I may be a little biased, though! But golly, these are special instruments.

I concur with Lukeguard22

I have had six of these from the mid 90s over the decades. All were VERY NICE!

This will have the "electric" slim neck that helped make Taylor's rep. Even though it has 25.5" scale it will feel more like 25" in hand due to the fast neck.

They are all super light and responsive.

So light weight that the tuner button swap to wood is a great way to balance the neck.

I do not know the OP and have not played this particular instrument, but it looks like a real peach!

Hope this helps and congratulations to the next happy owner!

Salud
