If your budget is limited look at the Behringer ADI21 preamp. I had one before I bought my ToneDexter and I was quite happy with it. Also, for $36.99 at Sweetwater, it's a bargain.

got the mojotone quiet coil nc1 soundhole pickup a few days ago and it sounds great.
put it in an hd28v and its very clean and balanced. i was quite surprised at how good it sounds. actually sounds like the guitar with no quack etc. i also tried it in my d18 which has a k&k. i have the duel redeye preamp so i plugged each pickup into the two channels and switched back and forth with a simple foot click. very similar sound but i would say the mojotone seemed a little cleaner and distinct on the note separation. less woof. if your're looking for a soundhole pickup i would recommend giving the mojotone a try. very impressive. i really wasn't expecting this much quality from a sounhole pickup. |

Bobby… I just got the mojotone nc-1 for my 000-28. I also have two preamps in the kit bag: a fire eye and a Zoom AC-2.
You like your sound with the fire eye? I haven’t tried it yet. |

Hi NOLA
Doug Young forgot to mention that he demoed the Mojotone NC-1 for Acoustic Guitar Magazine (he is a frequent demo artist there) with audio sample. |
