Default My Mug Broke

Catastrophe struck in the home today. Pouring off some tea in one of my two Emerald mugs, and it cracked. I am heartbroken. Been using that mug daily for over a year and it became a close friend. Guess I will now have to get another guitar.

Getting a new guitar is the only reasonable response in this situation. [emoji1787]

My emerald mug makes a great pick cup with capos clipped to the side.

Did the label fall off or is that still intact?

Maybe Emerald will send you another mug?

I don't think the mugs are warranted like the guitars.

I understand that "close friend" attachment to the mug. I have one for the house, one for the motorhome. With the 3rd mug, the handle broke off the second time it was washed. My wife ordered some Sugru in a green color and rebuilt the handle... she even made it more ergonomic with finger indents.

Not "as good as new," but still usable. All three Emeralds are fulling functioning and look good as new.

I fully support the previous suggestion that getting another guitar is the logical solution.

I just can’t believe they haven’t come up with a dishwasher safe “Indestructible” CF mug. And here I thought we were dealing with creative types.

I guess if one wanted their mug veneered (and who hasn’t wanted their mug veneered at one time or another?), they’d have to do some sort of 4-8 sided box section? But heck, that’d be the one to accompany a veneer guitar!

Woodn’t it!?

If I bought a mug, would it come with a guitar?

There are food grade glues to repair ceramic mugs and dishes.

Ask the Internet about "glue ceramic mug".

Cheers.

When I got my new Emerald X20, I opened the mug's box and it was broken on arrival. I contacted Emerald and they sent me a new mug free of charge. I guess you've had your mug for a while before it broke so probably Emerald wouldn't send you a new one free of charge. I wonder, however, if we can order mugs from Emerald?

I like the mugs of course even though I don't use them for daily use. As of late I've sold off a few of my Emeralds that I was just not playing much and when I did I included the mug with the sale. I thought it was the right thing to do. Some of my collection I bought used and did not get a mug but I still had gotten up to 4 mugs!

Very nice touch of them to include these and when I sold mine and included them most people were super happy about getting the mug and Flash drive. Such great pictures that I was happy to include when I had them.

Honey, I really needed this new Emerald guitar because my mug broke. Yep, would be hard to keep a straight face...

Mine did! Expensive mug though...Of course the mug eventually broke, and I was bummed as I used it regularly even after selling the X20. The mugs are a very nice touch by our friends in Donegal.

You'd be amazed at how some of these guys can sense a real enthusiast. I've contacted companies and either asked to buy mugs or some other item. I don't think I've ever been turned down.

Remember these guys? Some rocket scientists at the Redstone Arsenal formed the first company to have guitar amp tubes made in an old Soviet tube factory.

I remember the day my wife broke one of mine, it was a sad day. Luckily I have others. I too have attachments to those mugs and I agree with everyone else the only solution is to order another guitar.
