Hope all is well.
Bruce, I assume your procedure is still day after tomorrow.
Cindy, Steve, (who is here visiting and playing through our quivers), and I are sending a ton of good vibes your way! I know some people will do almost anything to get a vacation, but get better FAST! You have made a seriously wonderful musical contribution to the world, and have lots more good work to do ... We are all rooting for you, and on your side! Oh, these instruments are spectacular, too!!! Paul

Yep, today is my last day before the “procedure”. I really appreciate the well wishing, and look forward to talking with you all again before too long.
I noticed after reading your notes that my last post mentioned pictures being made of the latest BRW OM, and indeed, I did do that. Then, looking at the page for the guitar, I noticed the serial number listed on the page is incorrect. It should be #2920719, not #2910519, which is the recent Koa 000. I can’t fix that from where I sit as I am on my iPad at the moment. I’ll try to find a moment before the procedure. The serial numbers above are linked to the guitar’s pages. I shipped both guitars off on Monday. They should arrive at their temporary destinations on Thursday. The OM went to Dream Guitars in Weaverville, NC. The Koa 000 went to the Guitar Gallery in Nashville, TN. Any reviews would be most welcome as it seems unlikely to me that anyone would find fault with either. |

I stopped by and got help and advice from Bruce on fixing a Craigslist double bass, but by the time he’d helped get the tone bar length tweaked, the bridge modified and string spacing re-done, and adjusted the nut and reviewed the repairs I’d have to do at home, I didn’t get a chance to play the braz OM, which was one of the reasons I’d stopped by! The koa 000 I have mentioned a couple of times, and is an absolutely amazing guitar - I wish I could trade in one of my other Sexauers towards it, but then I’d be without one of the guitars I already love so much - anyone who has an opportunity to play or purchase these would be an extremely happy (and lucky!) camper -
Bruce is in extremely good hands - he has a family that will be there for him and I am very confident he will be back in the shop before long (probably sooner than his doctors advise), and I can’t wait to see how productive he’ll be once he’s firing on all cylinders! I predict that next year the Sexauer custom shop thread will have to be re-started 4 times over because of all the instruments he’ll be building - Plus, we hope to once again be sending some of those updates from exotic european locations for a short time! Anxiously awaiting your first post-op post, my friend!

When Tad says “tone bar”, he means “sound post”. But the rest of the post is just how I see it. Thank for your support, Y’all. And I mean all Y’all.

I heard from Linda about 11:30 this am. Bruce was out of surgery, but she hadn’t spoke with the doctor or been able to see him yet. I’ll update here when I know more.

Surgeon said all aspects of the surgery went well. He is off the ventilator and exhausted. Sleeping now, hard to stay awake. This is from Linda moments ago.
I’m crediting all the positive energy from the AGF. And....Bruce is far too stubborn to let a little thing like open heart surgery get him down.
