Keep playing like that, Jim, and you can make your home anywhere you want!
Move in with us! You can have the upstairs.
Seriously, thanks for recording this. It's a joy to hear.

Steve

That's the way a demo should be done. What was that stuff about not knowing your recording software? Awesome Jim. Makes me want to get a Kinnaird!

Thanks, cigarfan! Steve and Ryan build some great guitars! I played four or five of them before ordering one, and while I was a little reluctant to take the chance on a custom build, I'm thankful I did.

Thanks again, Steve! I might just take you up on the "upstairs" suite......especially about the time January rolls around......

Because he's that kind of guy, Jim made another soundclip/video. Put on some headphones and enjoy yourself.

Well, it's crunch time here in Nacogdoches. Santa Barbara is one work week away for us (since we're shipping our instruments). We've got our Black and White Ebony Parlor all lacquered up. Now it's time to get it put together and singing.

Here's a couple of pics right before we put the neck on. Since this is a dark guitar, I know that I should have taken the time to go set up a temporary photo booth. But honestly, we don't have the time. I will try to take the nice shots when it's done. So for now, forgive all the reflection.

The Italian top was perfect, but we decided to go with a tobacco burst to give a certain vibe to this cool parlor. We hope you like it.

Steve is already busy getting the tape off and neck and bridge on. More pics soon!

And thank you, Bob. In the struggle whether to burst the top, or not, your encouragement was instrumental. And so I reward you with a pun? Well, what are friends for?

Steve

Now fitting the pyramid bridge to score the lacquer and remove the tape. This way we can glue wood to wood.

Here Steve is attaching the parlor neck while wearing the shirt of the guy who got our last two parlors. (Thanks Trevor!)

Stay tuned throughout next week to see this little one completed.

Thanks guys. Here's the parlor with strings attached:

We'd love for you to swing by our table and take this little guy for a test drive.
