I find adding some water beads to the container safely stores considerably more moisture, requiring less frequent fills. You can buy the water beads in any hobby/craft/Walmart. They cost a couple bucks for enough to fill 10 or 15 containers. The beads are designed to release moisture, as they do, they will shrink down in size to that of a bb.
