Coming Soon: AudioScape XL-305 Reverb
The guys at AudioScape will be unveiling a clone of the MicMix Master Room XL-305 Reverb that came out back in 1979. It's a stereo spring acoustic chamber style reverb. I've never heard one but folks who have seem to be excited by this.
AudioScape teamed up with Wayne Kirkwood, the guy who designed the original, to recreate this piece (here's a pdf of the manual for the original). Kirkwood... "I agreed to help Chris with the re-issue doing both the circuit design and teaching him how to cut springs to the original MIcMix timings. Chris and his team did the circuit board layouts and mechanical design." It looks like this will be for sale sometime in 2022.
