Default Pallet on Your Floor

I first heard this song on Gillian Welch's Soul Journey album. Her take has always stuck with me. She calls it a Doc Watson song, but I always thought it was Mississippi John Hurt. I am fortunate to be playing a Trevor Healy guitar in this video, made for a friend of mine, Raymond Morin.

Nice, and as say, kind of has the Mississippi John Hurt feel in your version.

Make Me A Pallet on Your Floor is, at least, fairly old. If one goes back to early New Orleans' musician accounts, there are reports of it being played well before WWI, so it likely goes back into the 19th Century, which is old for a tune in the Blues tradition.

Thanks, Frank. So it's an old standard that many players have had their hands on. Good to know.

Sweet sound .. Very Nice!

Never heard this song before.
But really enjoyed it.

I see you are using the Apogee Mic (very cool ...I just got one!).
Do you mind me asking what you used for the camera?

Thx!

Thanks, fellas. The camera is just my iPhone. I have found that auto-locking the exposure, especially if you have a decent light source (mine was just the light coming through the front window), tends to produce a decent result.
