Default NGD Martin Custom Shop Gruhn 0000

I've been shopping for my first Martin, and I kept going back to the M-36.
I really like the sound of the 0000 body, and the comfort of the 000 thickness.
Then I came across this 2017 Custom Shop Gruhn 0000-14.
Same size as the M-36.
Sounds great, and plays great.
It has an Adirondack spruce top, with East Indian rosewood back and sides.
Ebony bridge and fretboard.
Modified V-neck.
Waverly open back tuners.
Old style 45 snowflake inlays.

Really beautiful. I played an M-38 for a dozen years or so and that 0000 brings something to the table that is all its own. Enjoy!
Best,
Jayne

That’s a beautiful guitar and agree with the comment that the J / 0000/M body sizes are special. Hidden gems in the Martin line, and that one really shines.

Is that the one that was for sale recently at Folkway? They are terrific folks to deal with, to boot.

Yes it is the one that was at Folkway. Great shop.
I drove 90 minutes to get to the guitar shortly after it was listed for sale.

Nice! I had my eye on that one—the wider string spacing at the bridge is less common and a necessity for me! Enjoy!!

Wow! Congrats on the new guitar. It is terrific aesthetically and I would guess tonally as well.
